Ohio Minority Health Institute

conference Who We Are...

The Ohio Minority Health Institute (OMHI) is a national training program consisting of a training and support center focusing on administrative and health knowledge capacity building for minority community-based organizations. This one-stop, institutional-based training and technical assistance program seeks to help administrators and managers and health professionals in minority community-based organizations in their efforts to become organizationally and financially sound and self-sustaining businesses and health care providers. The OMHI program is one where intense training, follow-up and technical assistance, and resource services will be provided to its participants of the Program.

What We Do...

The Ohio Minority Health Institute is sponsored by the Ohio Commission on Minority Health. Housed by Stokes Center On Aging at Central State University. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about business plan development, to make connections, and increase your resource base and cultural competency in the health care area. Moving beyond the traditional means to assist community-based agencies in Ohio is our mission.
