Founding of Daughters of Nia Anaya

Daughters of Nia Anaya was founded on the campus of Central State University on November 13, 2002 by nine sophisticated women, headed by God. Daughters of Nia Anaya was founded to promote sisterhood and leadership on the campus and surrounding areas.

Daughters of Nia Anaya was created for the sole purpose of strengthening our campus leaders, campus unity and the campus morale, through our bond strengths.

We strive to demonstrate, particularly to women, that sisterhood is real, unconditional, and can be attainable.

Purpose

To provide an "Attitude of Servitude" to our community which entails our campus and surrounding areas.

Mission

To promote and display sisterhood and high mortal standards by possessing the skills and knowledge on how to better ourselves socially, professionally, culturally and most important spiritually.

Membership into Daughters of Nia Anaya

Any natural born female possessing high moral leadership standards and the willingness to grow, learn and love in the name of sisterhood is welcomed to be considered for membership into our organization.

Qualifications

  • 12 University credit hours or more
  • Cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0
  • Currently enrolled at Central State Unviersity
  • A natural born female
