Job Description:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach a variety of courses in the Criminal Justice program.
Build on existing strengths in teaching, research, and service.
Advise and counsel students.
Participate in activities involved in the general functioning of the department, college, and university.

QUALIFYING FACTORS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to teach criminal justice courses.
Ability to use technology in instruction and student advising.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or Criminology.
The J.D. alone would not be considered as the appropriate degree for this position.Evidence of an emerging or established research agenda in area of expertise.
Evidence of effective teaching and service to the community.
Evidence of commitment to initiating and maintaining an active research program involving students.
Significant academic experience is required
