DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Sweeps, mops, strips, waxes, polishes and renews floor surfaces.

·         Cleans and shampoos rugs and carpets.

·         Washes walls.

·         Cleans, dusts and waxes furniture and fixtures.

·         Cleans glass and mirrors.

·         Cleans and empties trash receptacles.

·         Cleans auditoriums and classrooms.

·         Assists in setting up for various activities.

·         Cleans offices and dressing rooms.

·         Cleans band room/practice rooms, steps and stairwells.

·         Cleans lobby, janitor and supply closets.

·         Reports evidence of fire, illegal entry and theft of property.

·         Checks in supplies.

·         Stocks supply closets.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFYING FACTORS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

·         Knowledge of safety practices.

·         Skill in operation of cleaning equipment.

·         Ability to count and read warning signs.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Education:

High school diploma required.

·         Ability to lift 25 pounds.
