Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Provide primary health care services to all students enrolled at Central State University and other students and staff serviced by the center at the university as directed by the Vice President.
 To serve as the Pharmacy Director and use the doctor’s license to operate the pharmacy.
 To address and respond to cost containment issues respective to the delivery of medical services.
 Obtain and maintain a good standing medical staff membership and admitting privileges at Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia.
 Abide by all university, administrative, and operational policies as they pertain to this contract.
 Notify immediately if physician is charged with and misdemeanor or felony (other than a moving violation)
 To supervise staff and clinical nurse.
 Oversee medical activities of the campus.
 Assist with development and implementation of self-insured programs.
 Evaluate and review current and future university insurance that includes international and sports supplemental insurance.
 Develop Emergency Room screening mechanism.
 Furnish to the university, monthly reports, including a summary of previous months activities, and statistical data.
 All records shall be kept confidential in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations, including without limitation, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
 Medical information shall be recorded and maintained by physician in individual medical files. All medical records in the custody of the Physician shall remain the property of Central State University.
 Physician will comply with all federal, state and local regulations. If Health Center receives notice that it is in violation of any such regulations, the Physician will correct any deficiencies within 60 days of receipt.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 Schedule work for the group ensuring proper distribution of assignments.
 Assist in the selection, provision and control of material resources to include evaluating quality of materials, setting standards for the required quantities of supplies and equipment and establishing procedures to prevent misuse and improper care of materials.
 Interpret and implement safety practices; set standards for staff and others involved in the maintenance of a clean clinic setting.
 Excellent communication skills.
 Good organization skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

 Requires an MD or DO.
 Director must be a licensed physician in the State of Ohio and have a current DEA license and NPI number.
 Must be Board Certified in either Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
 Experience in family medicine or internal medicine is required. Significant experience in college health and experience in working with a diverse student body and faculty and staff is preferred.
