Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


§    Provides vision, leadership, and strong strategic direction to Division of


Enrollment Management & Student Affairs in supporting academic mission of


the University.


§    Provides strong creative, energetic strategic leadership in order to design and


implement a comprehensive program of services and activities for students in support of holistic approach to higher educations. Formulates goals and objectives for Division and oversees achievement of those goals.


§    Supervises and evaluates management, operations, and programs in areas of


Enrollment Management, student services, and student life.


§    Provides effective and efficient management of Division of Enrollment


Management & Student Services and its human and financial resources


Ensures that resources are allocated effectively to achieve objectives of


Division. Reviews, expenses, prepares periodic reports, and develops annual


budget recommendations. Ensures that programs produce measurable results


that are communicated to campus community.


§    Represents University with visible presence at events with students, parents,


and community. Represents University through service on community boards


and committees.


§    Represents Division to university community and promotes active


involvement and participation of faculty in Enrollment Management and Student


Affairs programs.


§    Collaborates with educational community, including teachers, counselors,


school boards, technical schools, and community colleges to recruit their


student populations to matriculate at the university.


§    Establishes measurable quality improvement plan to ensure the continual


improvement in the effectiveness of Financial Aid programs for the benefit of


attracting and retaining students.


§    Collaborates with corporate, private, and public organizations and agencies


to broaden the potential student base and obtain financial support for potential


students.


§    Ensures planning and development of programs and policies that encourage


widespread involvement of students in many aspects of campus life and


encourages students to take advantage of educational experiences made


available to them.


§    Demonstrates a strategic, proactive approach to handling student issues and addressing challenges of diverse student body. Serves as advocate and spokesperson for students to campus community. Communicates interprets, and advises President regarding student issues, and assists with development of strategies for resolution.


§    Promotes active, safe, and healthy social environment for all students and


enhances opportunities for academic success of students.


§    Counsels students and parents, and responds to their needs and concerns,


as well as those of external community.


 


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



§      Develops and implements student enrollment goals to accomplish optimum enrollment levels of appropriate size, quality, and diversity.


§    Works with other administrators in program development, curriculum evaluation, and educational matters of mutual concern.


§    Develops and monitors an annual short range and long range Enrollment Management document that measures periodic and ongoing progress with specific enrollment goals relating to specific target dates.


§    Leads collaboration efforts with Academic Affairs to engage faculty, staff, alumnae, and community to participate in programs to advance student enrollment to meet Strategic Academic Enrollment Management (SAEM) goals.


§    Develops comprehensive recruitment plan that specifies local, regional, and national admissions and recruitment forums, events, and activities.


§    Implements and oversees comprehensive and ongoing advertising and public relations campaign thru the media to reach potential student base and support recruiting efforts.


§    Develops recruitment and admissions strategies to target special and diverse


    populations (non-traditional/adults, seniors, military, community college and   


    technical school students and graduates, international, racial and ethnic


    diversity, rural, suburban, urban, etc.)


§    Develops innovative programs to attract K-12 students and their parents to campus activities that introduce enrollment at the university and establish ongoing relationships with them.


§    Establishes tools for measuring the effectiveness of external resources utilized in recruitment efforts and responds innovatively to applying new resources to meet recruitment goals.


§    Develops programs that focus on student retention to meet the needs of students and continually improve the university retention rate.


§    Establishes enrollment processes and procedures for Admissions and Financial Aid that ensure cooperative work efforts, efficient and timely processing of aplications and notification to students, and measurable results.


§    Collaborates with churches, social, civil, and community organizations on local, regional, and national levels to attract students.


 




Minimum Qualifications:


§    Doctorate in higher education, student personnel, or related field with ten    


    years progressively responsible experience in enrollment management.


§    Candidates must demonstrate direct experience and significant expertise in the area of Enrollment Management.
