How the recycling program works
Central State University's recycling program is a source-separated program. That means those who generate the recyclable material -CSU staff and faculty - will be responsible for separating it before it is collected.
Office Staff will collect mixed office paper in the deskside recycling bins provided for this purpose.
Staff will be responsible for depositing the contents of these bins in the recycling station nearest their office. Staff will also be responsible for depositing their recyclable plastic bottles and cons as well as newspapers and magazines in these recycling stations, which will have separate bins for each category of material.
These stations will be located in administrative and academic buildings throughout campus.
Office staff will also be responsible for breaking down cardboard boxes and depositing them in the designated collection bin for each building.
Students may also deposit their recyclable materials in the recycling stations throughout campus.
Housekeeping staff will collect the material from the recycling stations and transport it to the designated recyclables collection bin for each building.
Facilities staff will transport these recyclables to Reycling Central in the C.J. Mclin Building, where they will be collected by the University's recycling provider.
