Climate Smart Agriculture Center Scholarship
The Climate Smart Agriculture Center Scholarship is designed for students majoring in Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resources Management.

Climate Smart Summer Bridge Program
The Climate Smart Summer Bridge Program accepts applications from incoming freshmen who have committed to attending Central State University to major in an AGRISTEM or agriculture program.
This five-week residential camp runs from June 25-July 28. In addition to receiving college credit, participants will be eligible to receive up to $14,000 in scholarship awards to complete their degree at Central State and have opportunities to engage in research and work for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
To receive the scholarship, the student must meet the following requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Complete a 500-word essay describing your background, why you want major in sustainable agriculture, environmental engineering, or water resources, and why you want to participate in the summer bridge program
- Email a letter of reference from a teacher, counselor, or advisor

Regular Marauder Choose Ohio First Scholarship
Supported by the Choose Ohio First program, the Marauder Choose Ohio First Scholarship is an opportunity to recruit and retain incoming or transfer students with a 3.0 grade point average. Each student will receive an average scholarship of $3,920 that, combined with CSU scholarship funds, will significantly alleviate their financial burden.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Must be a resident of Ohio
• 3.0 unweighted cumulative high school or college GPA
• Students must major in Science and Math Education, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mathematics, Sustainable Agriculture, or Water Resources Management

Are you a student majoring in Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Chemistry, and an Ohio resident? Get up to $8,632 per year for up to four years with the Choose Ohio First: Success in STEM (COFSS) Scholarship!

Choose Ohio First Computer Science Programs of Innovation Scholarship
The Choose Ohio First Computer Science Programs of Innovation Scholarship (COFCPS) is for Computer Science majors or those seeking a certificate in Cyber Security. Awards are up to $10,000 per student per year for up to four years.

Creating Excellence in Agricultural Workforce Scholarship
If you are majoring in Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Water Resources Management, Agribusiness, or Agricultural Education, you may be eligible to receive an award of up to $3,000 per year for up to four years with the Creating Excellence in Agricultural Workforce (CREW) Scholarship.

CESTA/USDA 1890 David Scott Scholarship
Funds for the CESTA/USDA 1890 David Scott Scholarship came from the $100 million awarded to the nineteen 1890 Land-Grant Universities in the United States as a result of the Build Back Better Act.
The scholarship supports recruitment and retention, student engagement, mentoring, and training for undergraduate students at Central State who major in an Ag/STEM-related field in the College of Engineering, Science, Technology, and Agriculture.
The scholarship is named in honor of U.S. Congressman David Scott, chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, who successfully spearheaded legislation in the Build Back Better Act to provide permanent funding for student scholarships at the nation's 1890 Land-Grant HBCUs.
The four-year scholarship awards eligible students up to $8,000 per year toward tuition, books, and room and board.

Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT) Research Internship
The Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT), part of the University of Michigan and the Region V University Transportation Center funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation, is excited to announce the CCAT Research Internship opportunity. This scholarship and internship program is ideal for students who are passionate about sustainable connected and autonomous vehicles and are eager to contribute to cutting-edge research in transportation technology.
Eligibility requirements
To qualify for consideration, applicants must:
- Be a current sophomore or junior.
- Major in Environmental Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field in sciences or engineering.
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Provide at least two letters of recommendation.
- Submit a one-page essay discussing your major and post-graduation plans.
- Submit a one-page research statement focusing on sustainable connected and autonomous vehicles.
Application process
Selected applicants must complete the Responsible Conduct of Research course online at https://www.citiprogram.org/index.cfm?pageID=14 and submit the certificate to both the principal investigator (PI) or program coordinator and the Office of Sponsored Research Programs (OSRP) at Central State University.
