Undergraduate online enrollment
Three steps in the enrollment process with the duration expected to complete each step are listed below.
- Step 1: Application and acceptance to Central State University include the application submission, the Union Verification Form, the Central State Global application document checklist, and official transcripts to complete your file. After we have all the required documents, we will issue a decision within 14-21 business days.
- After an applicant’s file is assigned to an online team member, official transcripts and other documents are processed, indexed, and attached to the file within 14-21 business days if all official documents have been received by CSU.
- Step 2: Transfer credit evaluation. We will receive and evaluate all transcripts within 30-60 business days.
- Step 3: Course registration to become fully enrolled at Central State University. We conduct registration sessions after the completion of the transfer credit evaluations to ensure students have an effective course planning and registration session with their advisors within three to five business days.

Undergraduate online admissions
The student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.2 on a 4.0 scale from all previously attended institutions and a minimum of 45 college credit hours.
Students who have been dismissed from previous institutions within the last 12 months will not be considered for admission to Central State University. If a student has not earned a minimum of 45 credit hours, they will be required to submit their high school transcript and their GPA will be considered for admission.
All official transcripts from all previously attended institutions must be submitted to Central State University. A prior enrollment history review is completed on each applicant to identify all previously attended institutions. If an institution is listed on your checklist but you did not attend that institution, an official letter of non-attendance must be submitted to Central State from an officially authorized officer (Registrar, etc.) of that institution. Official transcripts must come directly from the institution in a sealed envelope. For institutions that have closed, please contact the state Department of Education where the institution is located to retrieve official transcripts.
IMPORTANT: After you apply to CSU, please remember to download the Central State Global application document checklist, add your official transcript order information, and then upload it to your application checklist. Our online admissions team will use this document to help research and process your official transcripts to promptly complete your file to render a decision within 14-21 business days.

Graduate online admission and enrollment process
Graduate online enrollment
The graduate student admissions process consists of three steps in helping students enroll in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduate program.
Step 1: Application and acceptance to CSU. The graduate application and enrollment process includes completion and submission of our online application, the Graduate Document Checklist, official transcript(s) with degree conferred, a current resume, a letter of intent, recommendation letters, and other required documentation to complete the applicant’s file.
Step 2: Graduate school (MBA) committee review. The graduate school (MBA) committee will review the completed file to render a final decision. A decision is rendered within 14-21 business days.
Step 3: Course registration, orientation, and onboarding. If accepted to CSU, the graduate advising department will schedule and conduct a registration to help students register for courses as post-baccalaureate or graduate students.
Graduate online admissions
Global online graduate student applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree in business from a regionally accredited institution and a GPA of 3.0. Prospective applicants without a degree in business must complete the prerequisites for entering the graduate program.
The GMAT standardized test is required and waived for applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. After completing the Global online application, additional documents are needed to complete your application file for review and evaluation. Central State Global Union Partnership program
Partnering to send union members and families to college
Central State University’s online unit, Central State Global, has developed an uplifting new partnership with Union Plus, the AFL-CIO's member benefits program.
The Central State Global Union Partnership program is designed to help union members and their families complete their bachelor’s degrees while reducing out-of-pocket costs. The program offers financial aid, grants, and scholarships to eligible union members and their immediate families, starting in the summer of 2023.
The Central State Global Union Partnership program replaces the Free College Benefit program, the latter of which was discontinued on May 13, 2023.
Marauder Returns program
The Marauder Returns program enables students who have previously attended Central State and have not completed a degree the opportunity to return to the Institution.
If you are eligible, CSU will cover your prior CSU balance up to $7,500 upon graduation!

Central State Global has partnered with InStride, a leader in tailoring education pathways for corporate organizations to increase academic credentials, training, and skill development for their employees. Check with your employer to see if InStride has partnered with them as an education pathway coordinator.

Students who enroll in courses at Central State for one semester and expect to return to their original institution at the end of the semester may be admitted as transient students. To qualify, students must be in good standing in a recognized college or university.
Transient students are not eligible for Central State financial aid. Their registration will terminate at the end of the semester. If a transient student enrolled at Central State wants to continue at CSU at the end of the semester, the student must submit official transcripts from any other colleges and/or universities attended and their final high school transcript, if applicable, and re-apply for regular admission as a transfer student.

Criteria for online transient admission
All transient applicants must meet the following criteria for admission to Central State University:
- Submit an application.
- Submit a letter of good standing from the registrar of the home institution.
- Submit an official copy of their transcript.
Central State Global has established key partnerships with premiere transient student organizations, including Acadeum, Bridge Top Education (BTOP), and Lion.

Students can apply and submit supporting documentation to be considered for admissions until the first day of courses for each semester and/or term; however, students who have been accepted but not enrolled in the immediate term will be rolled over to the next available term. Students must meet all requirements for acceptance and enrollment.

No. Transfer students are required to submit transcripts from all accredited colleges or universities that they have attended. You will not be admitted without the official transcripts from each institution.
