First-year residence halls
Every first-year student at Central State lives on campus in one of four conveniently located residence halls, where you will develop strong bonds and create a community you can count on.
- Foundation Hall II is a co-ed hall for all.
- Williamson Hall is a women's-only space.
- Hunter Hall is a men's-only space.
- Harry G. Johns Hall welcomes honors students who maintain GPAs of 3.5 or higher.
Residence halls and amenities
The residence options offered at Central State include traditional dormitory settings, junior suite communities, suite-style communities, and apartment living spaces. Each option provides different levels of privacy and amenities, such as communal lounges, study spaces, private bathrooms, and fully equipped kitchens. All residents have access to individual essentials, laundry, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and hardwired internet services.

Once you reach your junior year, you are eligible for apartment-style living arrangements in the Central State Residential, Academic and Wellness Center and Shorter Road Apartments. Juniors and seniors in the Honors College or who have a 3.5 GPA or higher can also have the opportunity to reside in our Wesley Village Honors Apartments. These spacious suites feature full kitchens, natural light, roomy layouts, and adjacent outdoor spaces. With two-, three-, and four-bedroom and studio options, they will be your home base for networking, studying, and socializing.
