Central State University kicks off a year of belonging and growth

Central State University’s scenic campus in Wilberforce, Ohio, came alive with the sights and sounds of move-in days, held on Aug. 6-7 and 9-10. As new and returning Marauders arrived, they were greeted with open arms, ushering in a new academic year filled with promise, purpose, and a profound sense of belonging. 

“Welcome Home” isn’t just a phrase at Central State — it’s a heartfelt sentiment that resonates deeply within our community. Here, every student is more than just a member of a university; they are part of a family that empowers, nurtures, and uplifts. From the moment our students set foot on campus, they know this is where they belong. 

Move-in days marked the beginning of this journey for our new students, who arrived with dreams in their hearts and the hope of finding their place in the world. As they unpacked their belongings and settled into their new surroundings, they quickly discovered that Central State is more than just a school — it’s a home where they are valued, supported, and encouraged to be their authentic selves. The sense of community was palpable, with upperclassmen, faculty, and staff extending warm welcomes and offering guidance, ensuring that each student felt not just welcomed, but embraced.
