Central State University linebacker Jalil Lenore returning to Chicago for Chicago Football Classic

Central State University's Jalil Lenore will make a repeat appearance at the Chicago Football Classic on Sept. 2. He was recently featured in an article from the Chicago Crusader about his return to his hometown, community service, and what it means to play for a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in the Midwest.
“Tough times made me who I am [today],” Lenore told the Crusader in a phone interview. “Going through things and being able to keep my head up and staying focused on what I wanted to get out of my life helped me through the struggle. I always took full accountability for any circumstance that I was in.”
