John W. Garland College of Engineering, Science, Technology, and Agriculture interim dean joins Council of Engineering Deans at Historically Black Colleges

Dr. Arunasalam Rahunanthan, interim dean of the John W. Garland College of Engineering, Science, Technology, and Agriculture at Central State University, has been accepted to join the Council of Engineering Deans at Historically Black Colleges.

Central State's Manufacturing Engineering and Environmental Engineering programs achieved accreditation through the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology in 1991 and 2017, respectively.

In total, 17 institutions are represented on the Council of Engineering Deans and Historically Black Colleges, according to an article in U.S. Black Engineer (USBE) Information Technology, a STEM-focused national publication. 

Rahu is a distinguished professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Wyoming and has dedicated his professional career to furthering research and education in this field. Rahu's contributions have been recognized with several awards, including the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education Faculty Excellence Award.
