FAFSA FEDERAL STUDENT FINANCIAL AID

Significant enhancements and modifications are on the horizon for the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. The revamped and simplified FAFSA form will be accessible by Dec. 31, 2023.

What you should be aware of

The 2024-25 FAFSA form will broaden the scope of federal student aid.

Due to revisions in student aid computations, an additional 610,000 students from low-income families will qualify for Federal Pell Grants.

After submitting the updated form, utilize the Federal Student Aid Estimator to get a preliminary idea of your potential federal student aid.

The 2024-25 FAFSA form will provide a new, simplified user interface for students and their families.

Depending on their specific situations, applicants will have the option to bypass up to 26 FAFSA questions. Some applicants may only need to answer as few as 18 questions, which could take less than 10 minutes.
