"Tamika joins us starting just in just in time for the spring semester. We couldn't be more thrilled to have her on board, as she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our department," said Mortenous A. Johnson, director of TRIO Student Support Services.

As the academic coach coordinator, Law will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of TRIO-SSS participants. She will be responsible for developing educational plans that will guide Central State students toward graduation, coordinating exciting cultural trips and engagements, and preparing them for graduate school and financial literacy.

"We are particularly impressed with Tamika's passion for integrating student support services with educational determination," Johnson said. "Her understanding of our unique co-curricular services and her multi-disciplinary approach align perfectly with our department's goals and the needs of our students. With an advanced degree from Howard University and professional experience at both Howard University and The Ohio State University, Tamika's expertise will undoubtedly enhance our team's culture and progressive structure."

"Law also brings an entrepreneurial and artistic background, cultural understanding, wit, care, and an abundance of resources for our TRIO-SSS participants. We are confident that she will be an incredible asset to our 'this-next generation thought leaders.'"

Law's work will primarily be conducted on the campus, where she will provide face-to-face academic coaching, coordinate required engagements, and oversee various projects. However, she will also be available for scheduled virtual engagements to ensure accessibility for all CSU students.

On a personal note, Tamika is a proud native of Dayton, having graduated from Dayton Public Schools. Central State is delighted to have her back in the Dayton area, where she will continue to make a positive impact on the local community.

Please help us extend a warm welcome to Tamika L. Law as she embarks on this exciting new journey with us! We can't wait to see the incredible contributions she will make to our TRIO-SSS family. Let's cheer her on as she helps our students thrive and reach their full potential!
