FAQs
Get to zero; get to register!
This year, there is a new process to register for the Spring 2025 semester to ensure that you are fully enrolled and ready to start classes when you return in January.
In the past, students could register if their balance was below $3,000 but could not start classes or had to vacate their rooms until they completed the enrollment clearance and had a $0 balance.
This led some students to think that they had taken care of their bills by registering. Students then were told at the start of the semester that they had to pay their balance. If they did not, they were not able to move into the residence hall or attend classes.
Now, you must take care of your balance before you register for the spring semester. You have additional time. The deadline before the late registration fee is Dec. 6 — one extra month. You will be asked to take your belongings home over winter break if you are not registered. However, you still can register for the Spring semester up until the first day of classes, Jan. 13. You can bring everything back with you to move in then.
-
Review your billing statement. If you do not see your expected financial aid, contact the Office of Financial Aid at 937-376-6579 or financialaid@centralstate.edu.
-
The first day to register was Oct. 8, 2024. Military have priority registration beginning Oct. 7.
-
The last day to register for spring is Jan. 13, 2025.
-
Look on Banner Self-Service to make sure that you are viewing your most recent statement.
-
Check your bill to make sure that your financial aid has been disbursed, that your payment plan is set up, and that all of your scholarships have been applied. Please seek help from Cash Management and Financial Aid if it doesn’t look right.
-
This is not true. You will be asked to take things home for winter break if you have not registered. However, you can move back into the residence hall in January once you have registered.
-
The late fee is $300 beginning Dec. 7, 2024.
-
We have eliminated the enrollment clearance process. This process was confusing for students. It led some students to think that they were clear to start the next semester once they registered when they actually were not. When they returned in January, they had to quickly resolve their bills to move in.
