Local #361 Ohio Council #8 The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employee (AFSCME)
The purpose of this agreement is to establish and set forth the University’s policies and procedures with respect to the general working conditions applicable to its nonacademic, nonmanagement employees. The University acknowledges that Local Union No. 361, Ohio Council No. 8, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), represents nonacademic, nonmanagement employees, and these policies and procedures have been arrived at after negotiations between the parties. The University and union will continue to work toward the end of resolving differences through discussions, and when necessary, the provisions of the grievance procedure, which are incorporated herein, will be invoked.
The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Central State University Chapter
The intent of this agreement entered into by and between the Board of Trustees of Central State University and the American Association of University Professors, Central State University Chapter, is to provide the members of the bargaining unit and Central State University with a collective bargaining agreement that will contribute to a healthy and viable institution of higher learning capable of supporting a quality program of teaching, research, and public service. The agreement seeks to maintain educational excellence, facilitate effective faculty and librarian participation, assure fair and reasonable conditions of employment, and provide techniques and procedures for the peaceful adjustment of disputes should they arise.
Central State University Safety Association (CSUSA)
Central State University (employer) and the Central State University Safety Association (CSUSA) recognize their responsibilities under federal, state, and local laws relating to civil rights and fair employment practices.
The employer and the union agree that every means will be pursued to assure equal opportunities in all aspects of employment, including matters of recruitment selection, placement, wages, training, promotion, and other terms and conditions of employment wherever applicable.
