Central State University Athletics Director Kevicia Brown appointed to MOAA Board of Directors

Central State University is proud to announce that Athletics Director Kevicia Brown has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA). This prestigious appointment will be confirmed during the 2025 MOAA Symposium during the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Convention held in Orlando.

Since assuming her role as Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Central State University in February 2023, Brown has been instrumental in enhancing the University's athletic programs. Her leadership and commitment to excellence have significantly contributed to the success and growth of Marauder Athletics.
Before joining Central State, Brown served as the Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations and Senior Woman Administrator at The Citadel. In that capacity, she oversaw sports performance and compliance and acted as the sport administrator for various teams. Brown also held the position of NCAA Athletic Diversity and Inclusion designee, collaborating closely with the chief Title IX coordinator to ensure adherence to NCAA Title IX requirements. Her dedication to fostering an inclusive environment was evident through her active participation in The Citadel's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and her role as a facilitator for the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Center.
The MOAA, administered by the NACDA, is committed to promoting equitable employment opportunities for minorities in the athletics industry. By facilitating the exchange of ideas, creating networking opportunities, and advocating for increased minority representation in athletic administration, the MOAA plays a vital role in shaping a more inclusive sports environment. Brown's appointment to the board of directors underscores her dedication to these principles and her ongoing efforts to champion diversity and inclusion in collegiate athletics.
Central State University congratulates Brown on this significant achievement and looks forward to the positive impact she will continue to make both within the University and the broader athletic community.
