Central State University Extension opens registration for Community Health Worker Program

Central State University Extension is excited to announce the opening of registration for its free Community Health Worker (CHW) Program. This program is designed to equip participants with essential skills to promote health and wellness within the community and enhance the quality of health care services provided to underserved populations.  

Key dates and program details: 

  • Registration open: Nov. 2-22 
  • Classes start: Feb. 3, 2025 
  • Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-9 p.m. in person at CSU-Dayton (840 Germantown St., Dayton, Ohio 45402) and virtually on Thursdays 
  • Program requirements: 100 classroom hours and 130 practicum hours 
  • Limited availability: Due to limited seating, interested individuals are encouraged to apply early. 

Accepted participants will receive notification by email by Dec. 20, 2024. 

The CSU Community Health Worker Program is a valuable opportunity for those seeking to make a meaningful difference in their communities by improving health outcomes. Participants will receive both classroom and practical training to prepare them for success in this vital field.
