CSU to host Solar Eclipse Watch
Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime event!
Join Central State University in the experience of a lifetime for the Solar Eclipse Watch from 1-3:30 p.m. April 8. The University's Seed to Bloom Botanical and Community Garden will present a beautiful setting for viewing the eclipse, which is set to begin at approximately 1:50 p.m. before moving into totality at 3 p.m. The final stage of the eclipse will come quickly by 3:10 p.m.!
Take a break between classes and bring a blanket, snacks, and water while you witness an awesome phenomenon. If you miss this one, the next total solar eclipse visible from the United States will not occur until Aug. 23, 2044! Learn more by visiting https://eclipse2024.org/.
Solar viewing glasses are an essential safety tool to protect your eyes while viewing the solar event. We will have a limited supply of approved eclipse glasses available for those attending. First come, first-served.
Restrooms and trash receptacles available. Park in the Garden's parking lot off Wilberforce Switch Road.
If the case of overcast skies or rain, the event will be canceled.
