The first half was tightly contested, ending with Kentucky State leading 33-29, largely due to Aziel Blackwell's 21-point performance. However, the Marauders surged in the second half, shooting an impressive 58.3% from the field and capitalizing on the Thorobreds' missed free throws and turnovers. Central State's bench also outperformed Kentucky State's, contributing 24 points compared to the Thorobreds' seven.
