Central State University Extension will host It Takes A Village: Diabetes Awareness Day at 10 a.m. Nov. 2 at Central State University-Dayton. The event will feature health screenings, healthy recipes, diabetes wellness talks, food demonstrations, a community health fair, and line dancing. See the complete schedule below.

All day — health screenings
10 a.m.-12 p.m., feet checks with Dr. Richmond
1-3 p.m., medicine checks with Ziks Pharmacy
Food demonstrations
11 a.m., Healthy Snacks
12 p.m., Salads
1 p.m., Simple Breakfast
2 p.m., Dinner Made Easy
Diabetes wellness talks
10:30 a.m., Jose Ulises Toledo, Ph.D., and the grand re-grand opening of the Community Health Care Worker Program at CSU-Dayton
11:30 a.m., The importance of taking your medicine correctly with Ziks Pharmacy
